For every inaction, there is an equal and opposite reaction and StreamAid is the action that the world’s small business community can take to step up and do what successive governments and the companies that lobby their interests have failed to do; take action to save the planet for our kids.

The pearl-clutching showboat of Cop26 in Glasgow this year will result in yet more hollow plans of “strategic goals” and targets for zero carbon. And these hollow promises will be tied up in courts while big business and special interests protect their income.

Right now, some of Europe’s most prominent fossil fuel companies are currently suing governments for more than $18bn for taking climate action that could harm their profits.

By the time it’s all sorted out the clock will have run out.

It’s just a game and the game ends when they’ve wrung all the profit out of Mother Earth at our expense and six months on from Cop26 our leaders will all hope that we will all have forgotten about it.

Except this time we won’t.

This time, those that stand to be most affected – our children - have powerful financial backers. The backing and support of many. The millions of small businesses around the world that are ready to stand up and do what big business pretends to do.
